Become a Member

Membership of Edmonton Radio Control Society is open to everyone.

All members are required to have a current Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) membership, and Transport Canada RPAS Basic level or higher to have flying privileges at the ERCS Bremner field.

New for 2023! All new and renewing members are required to submit a ERCS membership form. The membership form has changed to reflect the new Transport Canada RPAS requirement.

 

Membership Fees 

All memberships are for the calendar year January 1 to December 31. Memberships purchased after September 1st will include membership for next year at no extra fee.

New or Renewing Member

MAAC membership and RPAS certificate are required.		 200.00
Family Membership - For parents with children under 18.

All family members require their own MAAC membership and RPAS certificate.		 210.00
Junior Member - Under 18 as of January 1st of the membership year.

MAAC membership and RPAS certificate are required.		 15.00
Associate member - Non-flying member, no MAAC or RPAS required. 10.00
All flying memberships include a gate key for additional charge.  


New or Renewing Members

Preferred Method - E-Transfer

  • Fill out the ERCS application form (see document link below)
  • Send an E-Transfer payment to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Email a copy of the completed membership form to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and mention that you have sent the E-Transfer. 

Alternate Method - Mail

  • Print and fill out an ERCS application form (see document link below)
  • Send the membership application and a cheque payable to Edmonton Radio Control Society to the address listed on the form.

You could also bring your application and payment to the next ERCS General Meeting.

Important! Only members with a minimum rating of the Transport Canada RPAS Basic Operators Pilot certificate will receive a gate key. You cannot fly without MAAC and RPAS.

Once your membership application and payment are received, and your MAAC membership is validated, you will receive a membership card and gate key in the mail.
