Warbirds Over Edmonton

 

ERCS and Sunrise Hobbies hosted the first Warbirds Over Edmonton event on Saturday August 23rd. The Day started out very well but we didn't get much help from mother nature when is came to the wind. We got a fairly stiff wind which by itself wouldn't have been too bad but it was from the south and the tree were really causing very bad turbulence, forcing many pilots to forgo flying. The pilots who did brave the elements had quite a hand full! There was a great deal of hanger flying and talking. There were allot of visitors who were very interested in the plane and their construction. We had one pilot come all the way from Saint John N.B. and he and his wife had a great time. Les Patterson and Sunrise Hobbies put on a great day and should be congratulated.
